Marrakesh

Founded in 1070, Marrakesh is the fourth largest city in Morocco and one of the four imperial cities of the country. It is one of the busiest cities in Africa, a major economic center and tourist destination. In the 16th Century, it was the capital of Morocco.

The Medina quarter, a densely packed walled medieval city, dating to the Berber Empire, with narrow thriving souks (marketplaces) sell traditional textiles, pottery and jewelry is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
