Sunset at Porto

Porto is my birthplace. I do have many memories of Porto other than christmas with family as I moved to south when very young but my roots are there. The city is one of the most photogenic places I have ever been specially the sunset watched from the southbank Gaia. It is absolutely magic, a photographic irresistible temptation.

At sunset hundreds gather at this garden to watch and some even clap the sunset show.

The Dom Luís I Bridge, designed in 1879 by Gustave Eiffel is a double-deck metal arch bridge that spans the River Douro between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. At its construction, its 172 metres span was the longest in the world.
